Dogs On Broadway!

The producers of "Chitty Chitty Bang Bang”, a new musical based on the movie, rounded up two dozen dogs from animal shelters in New York City, and auditioned them for parts. One hound and one collie won the parts, and a guarantee to a dressing room, grooming, and secure retirement to the Connecticut farm of the show’s dog trainer. One requirement was that the dogs had to get along with the other members of the four-legged cast -- Bart, Harriet, Patches, Barney and Lady Guinevere -- chosen from different animal shelters.
