Army Shoots Down Idea Of A Military Theme Park

The Army got a proposal from a Florida company to build a military theme park next to its planned Army Museum near Fort Belvoir, VA. The idea was for guests to experience what it's like to command the M-1 Abrams tank, and free fall with a parachute.

To get that experience, the Army will continue to require a person to raise his or her right hand, and then go to Iraq, Afghanistan, or The Bronx, NY to get battlefield experience.

The Navy will probably build a theme park in Mississippi, where guests can get flooded, blown away and become homeless all at once, just like sailors do both at sea and in waterfront gin mills around the world. You'll just have to wait for the next Katrina.
