Science: Quayle on Mars

"Mars is essentially in the same orbit... Mars is somewhat the same distance from the Sun, which is very important. We have seen pictures where there are canals, we believe, and water. If there is water, that means there is oxygen. If oxygen, that means we can breathe."
-- Vice President Dan Quayle, 8/11/89 (reported in Esquire, 8/92)

Oh my, This is the same DQ who was running for VP right?
Well, I think that we aught to send him there so he can just go ahead and try to breathe on Mars. Interesting experiment don't you think?
Where did you say he graduated from????

Worse! He WAS the VP! A heartbeat away. If G.H.W. Bush had croaked, Quayloe would have become #1, and we woulda had a President like... like... well, like we got now!

That is a very scary quote. I'm so glad he never got to be president.
