The prison population is up even though the crime rate is falling.
Someday even the Associated Press might get a clue. That is simply an idiotic headline reminiscent of those about Teddy Kennedy at Chappaquidick.
Did it even occur to them that the crime rate is falling BECAUSE the prison population is up?! Like, the bad guys are mostly all in jail, so there are a lot less of them on the streets committing crimes?
And the bleeding hearts want to see us shorten sentences and release them.

Your right :/ That really is idiotic... When I first read it, I was like, TRAVESTY!, then I thought about it for a half second and went, "Wait.... What?" :)
