West Virginia Makes English Its Official Language

Measure Inserted Into Bill as Amendment

CHARLESTON, W.Va. (April 12) - Two days after the end of the legislative session, state lawmakers are discovering something few were aware of: They voted to make English the official language of West Virginia.


Language lessons for West Virginians start Monday.

Lessons for the legislature, including the cartoon, “How A Bill Becomes A Law”, start today.

    Tran, you're probably right. But then, we would assume that the legislators could watch the cartoon and listen simultaneously. Someone will pro'ly hep them to unnerstan.
