Newsweek To The Toilet
Newsweek now "apologizes" that its sensational, infamous story about U.S. military people putting the Koran in the toilet in Guantanamo was not true.
It amounts to "Never mind", after causing riots, death and promises of a jihad.
There can be only one response: Newsweek To The Toilets. Every week.

I honestly think there might have been a little "government convincing" them to back off this story.

Meredith, I like Newsweek too, but I think they let sensationalism rule once too often. "Lie" is an interesting typo! Brenda, I think that you may be right, especially if there is no documented support for the story.

Even the afghan president said it was not all or only Newsweek's fault. Extremists used it of course.
And Newsweek wasn't all wrong: The Red Cross and Amnesty International spoke of more allegations.
