Headline Confusion
I should wake up before reading headlines like this:
Bush Plan Steers Benefits To Poor
So I say, "Sure the poor are hungry; but how can a poor person handle a whole steer?"

Maybe I'm just overly naive as to the scope of the problem, but I cannot believe we have not been able to alleviate world hunger more than what we have. Sometimes I wonder if there's really not enough food...or if its governments keeping the food out of the hands of the poor.

Brenda, I think that fewer people are starving now than in the 1906's. There are more reporters now, and more ways of getting on the air fast.
Meredith, I will have to look up the Bush-ism. Speaking of "bull", what's the inside story on Larry Cochell, the baseball coach at University of Oklahoma? "Racially insensitive remarks" is the only thing in the news, which to me isn't news at all! Anyway, a very good baseball coach is gone.

Bush is planning to give benefits to poor steers? Heck, I didn't know there were any wealthy steers...
